Princess Lauren is 14

Lauren, reached the ripe old age of 14 today. Hip, hip, hooray.

As part of the birthday treat we went over to see Cinderella with Lady Sophie last night.

STARS from Coronation Street, as well as fans, packed into the Opera House to see two of their favourite characters from the popular soap

Tina O'Brien, currently playing troubled bride, Sarah-Louise Platt, makes a fantastic Cinderella, looking as pretty as a picture in this rags to riches fairy-tale.

Ex- Street favourite, Johnny Briggs, who played Mike Baldwin, was also warmly greeted and cracked a few Corrie jokes as Cinderella's dad, Baron Hardup.

Bernie Nolan looked stunning as the Fairy Godmother and, as usual, sang like a dream whilst Mike Toolan from Key 103 played Prince Charming.

Those panto veterans, Roger Kitter and Steve Luck played Paris and Britney, two of the Ugliest Sisters you've ever seen.

But stealing the comedy honours was young Geordie comedian, Steve Walls, who makes a totally engaging Buttons.

The sets and costumes are breath-taking with a delightful transformation scene complete with coach and two white ponies.

Nothing could dampen the spirits of the enthusiastic family audience who had come to enjoy a good night out and that's what they got.

Well worth the price of a ticket.
