The week that is my life
Mum has been in hospital for a few days. Could not sleep so is back home catching up on ZZZZs.
Done some training. Run and bike. Kind of recovery week after the Triathlon over the weekend. Having said that I am likely to be out walking mountains for 10 hours this weekend.
Fred the cat has friend. A cute tabby. Lots of young fledgling birds in the garden including Woodpecker and Jay. Fred has borught a number of dead Robin in to the house as a pressie. Nice.
Trees has lost a little weight and so have I. Cut out the weights and see an immediate drop.
Amy has had her prom. Can see it on Facebook. Dan Lee has joined Facebook.
On top of my post for the first time in months. Bit of a relief. The cars are both on their last legs but saving my money for the Taxman and Canada trip.
Divorce may be on the cards Only 6 years have passed by. Work is the pits. Help people then they kick you in the nuts. Nice. Not actualy heard of anyone dropping dead because of non delivery but you never know, it may happen one day and all their gnashing of teeth may have been worth it.
Pat has gone down south. We survived all the birthday bashes. Lauren at a Wally. Traitor! Going to force feed her with chips and gravy to get the Northerner Gene back in her.
Apart from mum and her Op, all is well. Thank Goodness.
Great Gable
Another great adventure complete.
The usual story. Stephen, Dan and Tony. 27km of walking. 2,000 feet of climb. Driving Rain. Mist covered peaks. Clinging on to rock faces as we ascend. Ankle breaking descents over boulder fields. Broken walking poles. Fingers bloated from grabbing icy boulders. So cold you cannot stop shaking. Arguments about direction. Name calling. Swearing. Moaning. Complaining. Bitching.
Oh, and then there was the chorus of snoring walkers. The sweat of too many men in a single Youth Hostel bunk room. The car stinking of flatulance. 10 hours of catch me, carry me driving. Delusions of enrichment.
Yep, loved every single second of it. When can we finish the job and go up Pillar? Bring it on!
Trees could not be happier
European football followed by Winbledon followed by Tour De France and finished off with the Olympics.
Her happiness cannot be contained. Would I lie?
me on Great Gable
Me descending off Great Gable. Slightly slower than your average Hippo but with a massive smile on my face.

Superstar Carol
Super Carol strikes again.
Completed the Run for Life. Superstar!
Massive congratulations. Looking forward to your next adventure.

Knowsley Safari Park - Ex
Great trip to Knowlsey Safari Park on Sunday. Only spoilt by catching site of an old flame. I managed to go unoticed but got a snap of her as she walked away. Phew, close call.
