No time to blog

I know, I know.

I have not blogged for a week or so. Beat me up why don't you.

For good reasons I am too busy to stop and reflect.

Last weekend we were down south at Castle Carol. Great time as usual witha trip to Romford Dogs and a drink with the boys.

During the week I have been either training or up and down the country with work.

Just found out we are needed down south again this weekend so we are off on the open road.

Pull the top down and feel the wind in my hair.

The Caravan

Back from a weekend at the Caravan with Gary and Katie.

Had to let down Tony and Deb's who were due over on Sunday but events overtook us.

Always great to go down to Crystal Lakes. Bit windy and cold on Saturday and the snow on the drive home was fun. Found a great Tea Shop in St Ives. Trees found it on one of her Lone Ranger walks.

So cold Barbara went home Saturday evening.

End of a full week with Lauren. Always sad to see her go.

Interesting car boot sale on Sunday. 2 cars!

Got to go, my bath is ready. Bliss!

Trees is addicted

Trees has caught the training bug.

As miserable as sin before training and an angel afterwards. Only joking! Trees is starting to get addicted to those endorphins. Don't we all? Bit sad really.

Started the week with a bang. Swim for me this morning. 20 length warm up, 5 x 100 metre sprints and 20 length warm down.

Tonight was a weight session followed by 30 mins cycling. 10 x 1 minute hill sprints on level 20. That got the old ticker going and the knees creaking.

Trees managed a weight session then 40 lengths in the pool.

I have now done 3 weight sessions in the last week. The back is feeling good. let's see how we go. Heel is also feeling good but giving it another week before I try a run. Enjoying the cycle and swim too much anyway.

TnT hit the gym

Another day in the for the fitness freaks.

On top of 3 hours of ironing and cleaning the house from top to bottom, Tees also manage a 2 mile run on the gym treadmill followed by a full weights session.

I managed to get to the gym at 6.30 am for a swimming technique session followed by 10 x 50 followed by a 20 length warm down. Avereage 15 stroke on the 10 x 50 and 20 stroke on the warm down.

Met a chap doing the European Triathlon as an Elite. 12 stroke lengths and 2 hour 10 mins estimated time. Some of us are born with it.

This evening I cycled in the gym. 40 minutes in Zone 4 to 5a. Long and hard. Loved it.

Going to find my NI number. Got to out run the tax man.

TnT hit the gym again

Ground Hog day today.

05.00 up for me to go to th gym for a swim. 20 length warm up, 5 x 100 metres at 1:45 each, 20 length warm down.

Hard day at work. Trees popped over to see Nats and Baby Orla.

Met up with Trees at the Chester gym for a weights session.

Back home to watch European Football. This time Man U! Last night Liverpool trounved Arsenal. Made me lauuuuuuuugh. Ho Ho.

Bit of a set back with the training. Heel niggle back tonight. Pigging, stupid stomach exercises with Trees probably did it.

GGrrrr.... think LAMM is going to be off the radar and not sure about the Hawkshead Trail race week Sunday. Will see. Think this year is going to be the Triathlon year. Yeh, bring it on! Right up my street chuck but.

Go, Go, Go

Yikes, I just cannot keep up with life.

Friday sees Trees sporting a new dark blonde look. Saturday morning we met Debbie for a coffee and some shopping.

Popped over to the gym to show Trees the Total Immersion swimming technique. I popped off 2km (80 lengths) afterwards whilst Trees had a hair pamper.

Saturday night was over to Manchester with Ian, Helen, Michael and Nats. The Olive Press followed by Cloud 23 in the new Hilton "tower".

Sunday morning up and at em for lunch with Nicky and Karl to plan New York. Sunday Tea Time Man U thrash Arsenal.

Sunday evening 20km cycle with 10km time trial PB at 20:20.

Sunday evening crash in bed. Phew!

Gym time

Trees did so well last night. 40 minute tread mill run and a weights session.

I did a cycle power session in the gym. 9x 20 second hill sprints flat out. Total time 35 minutes.

After a long day at work and straight to the gym I am not getting home until 9pm. Life just zooms by and you get nothing done other than work and train.
