on our travels
On our travels darn souf at the mo. Kelsey is 4 so we are mid way through partying.
Been over to Romford market today. Lots of strange accents and much shouting from the stalls. In the middle of bling heaven and jellied eels. Yuk.
Carol's house in mid way through a major redesign. We are set with birthday cake and a layer of cement dust. Yum.
Long day yesterday. Up at 04.45 for a 200 floor, one hour, stair climb followed by a days work and a ling drive down to Collier Row.
Stayed in a hotel last night. Soft bed so Trees kept rolling down on top of me as I sunk. Lauren slept on what can only be desribed as a sofa. Bless.
Debbie and Roger are on their way down and Gary and the clan are also due. Going to be a great party day.
Kelsey birthday weekend
Fantastic weekend. Too tired to tell the full story so here is the short version:
- Mr Custard. Brill children's entertainer.
- Kids tucking in to food and goodies.
- Sleeping to find myself under a pile of opened presents
- Bird tables for the garden as a birthday pressie for me.
- Buffet meal in Romford
- Man walking in to our hotel room at 2am. He got a shock!
- 2 hour run around Epping Forest .
- The girls go shopping
- Sunday lunch
Phew. Just got time for a nibble then sleep before a 4.45 start.
Stop the wheel. This hamster needs to get off for a while.
Keep on plodding
The training is still on plan.
Managed a Body Pump tonight and a Zone 3 cycle this morning for 30 minutes.
The run through Epping Forest for 2 hours on Sunday was great.
I have probably done a load of training last week that I have not blogged. Take my word, there was over 8 hours of it.
Weight was 14st 13lbs this morning. Not losing weight but appear to be getting slimmer. Which is not very difficult to do when you see the "before" version of me.
She's gonna kill me
I managed a good hour run with Dan this morning in ankle deep mud.
I then pumped out 30 minutes of swim technique training at lunch.
Trees then dragged me for a run around the country laned when I walked in the door tonight.
I am the walking dead......
Work and train
Not sure I have a great deal to report at the mo.
There is a lot going on around me but as usual the juiciest bits have to be kept out of the public eye.
Been doing the usual work and train. On Tuesday I was feeling very, very tired so I have taken a few days off training. Feeling much more alive for it.
I have a second blog that nobody knows about but I barely get time to do this one never mind another.
Not seeing my princess for three weekends. Not sure how I got in to that position. Think I have given up on fighting the wicked witch of the west. Banging your head against a brick wall is not good for anyone. I liken it to trying to train a Poodle. It takes a massive amount of time and most people cannot be bothered.
Thinking about it, I never blog or write down any of the things that I do not like in life. I think writing them down would be to accept them and we cannot have that. I like putting my fingers in my ears and singing La La La.
Trees and Debbie have been trying to keep up the Body Pump. I have managed a couple of sessions with them. Boy they are hard. Trees has joined weight watchers and lost a massive 6lbs in week 1. Great news. I now know the points value of every major food group. It has to be noted at this point that Trees put weight on from IVF type drugs rather than too much eating and drinking.
Sheila Beaman died last week. I was best friends with her son Vincent during my school days. Vincent lost his dad when he was a teenager and now his mum has passed on. Very sad.
Paul is subsidising his business activities with some part time work. Tuff being the future Richard Branson.
Ah well, another working week over and a great weekend to look forward to. I wish I was one of those people who get great enjoyment from their work. I just don't. Been working on the latest plan to retire by 55. We can only try. Winners bever quit, Quitters never win, ....
Life goes on
Don't you think that life has this habit of trundling on whether you like it or not.
It kind of has a life of it's own. Even when you switch off it just keeps rolling.
In the last few weeks we have seen Snowdrops and Daffodils. There are new lambs in the farm fields down the road. The squirrel has made it's nest in our loft. It was light when I went to work this morning and when I came home.
People are planning to leave the country. New jobs are coming and going. Some people have gained weight after their new year resolutions, some have lost weight.
I have trained for nearly half a year non stop. People are getting married, people are divorcing. One person has died, another is born.
Sometimes I feel I am watching a movie, only to find I have a role in it. Good news is that my movie is a love story with happy endings!
