New Years Eve
New Years Eve with Debbie, Roger, Pat, Shirley, Morris and James. Debbie baked a 2008 Beef Wellington!

New Years Resolutions
Not sure I have any new year resolutions. More to firm up on my current views on life:
- Keep a balance in life. Ensure that there is passion and love for Trees, Lauren, family, friends and the things I do to keep myself fit and contented
- Keep on top of finances and the boring things in life we have to do from time to time. Such as answering post promptly and getting the car taxed in time.
- Try and work to a budget which, by it's nature, means planning ahead.
- Focus suitably between short and long term business / work goals.
The training goals. These keep me sane:
- Run the Low Alpine Mountain Marathon. Be fit and prepared to ensure I run strong along side Stephen.
- Complete The London Olympic Distance Triathlon with Dan Lee. Ensure I compete strongly and create a basis for an Iron Man Triathlon in 2009.
- Run a 10km race in under 50 minutes.
- Weight to under 14st 3lbs
Life is so simple!
A couple of bellies
Wanted to show you a couple of chubby tummies. You will not see them this time next year!

Cycle and Swim
First day back at work. Yah Boo.
Celeberated with a 4.45am out of bed and over to the gym for a 30 mins cycle. First time on the back after a 5 week layoff with a back niggle.
Celebrated even more at lunch time with a 30 minute swim practising 25 metre technique lengths. Managed to keep all under 20 strokes per length.
All the chocolates are either in the bin or given away. Just got a quarter of the Xmas cake to go and we are back on track. Weighed in again bang on 15 stone. Need to lose 11 lbs to be in tip top condition.
Man Down
Dan has got the dreaded lurgy so the morning run was cancelled. I popped over to the gym instead.
Managed 35 minute treadmill run with 5 minute bursts at level 12 and 13. By eck they were hard.
Dan has got this vomiting bug that is impacting 100,000 people each day. Hope I have not caught it.
I have got another pigging cold on it's way. This fitness lark certainly keeps you in tip top condition. This time I have caught it from the 4 merry but sicky people who frequented our humble home over the Xmas period.
It's my Birthday
It's my Birthday. 40 flippin 6. Yes... 46.
Should be happy that I have reached these ripe old ages but you cannot help but be terrified how fast time speeds by. I remember school years that lasted an eternity. I remember summer days lasted forever. Now I get up and before you know it I am falling in to bed aged 46. Soon be 50! Yikes.
Anyway, I had some smashin pressies and my Princess sent me a lovely text.
Tradition has it that I get loads of running gear and then pose in them. Forgot to suck my gut in on this one...
boring I know
but here is the training update for today.
Drageed myself out of bed at 5am for a one hour cycle in the gym. Level 8 progressing to level 13 evvery 10 minutes. 60 minutes of head down blasting.
Followed this with a 40 length swim time trial at lunch. Maintained 21:27.
Bit tited now. ZZzzzz....
