Just back from a day out at Portmeirion with Trees, Lauren and Pat.

8k cycle sprint
Just been out for an 8km cycle sprint.
Well I thought it was a sprint. at 22 minutes I believe middle distnace runners can move quicker than that.
Going to be a longh slow slog to get some speed and power over the next 10 months.
Back to school Charlie
Looks like Charlie is ready to go to school.
Deep down, Deep, deep down he is sooooo looking forward to it. Honest. The face says its all!
First year in high school. Go Charlie.
Long Run 1.5 hours Sandstone
Yikes, that was hard work. Just back from running up and down the hills on the sandstone trail.
Legs just could not take some of the steeper climbs. The next 10 months of training is a little daunting at the moment. My running needs a lot of work, my cycling is quite poor and I am quite out of practise with the swimming.
One step at a time!
Week 2 weigh in - Ouch
OK, so I have have just completed the second week of my training and weight plan for the next 10 months.
Last week I lost 4lbs in weight. This week none. Nil, Zero, Nothing, Bog All.......
Not a cake, buscuit, sweetie, ice cream has passed my lips. I have run twice, cycled and swam twice in the last week.
Can you believe it!
Going to kid myself and say it is muscle turning to fat.
Still 15 stone and 2 pounds.
Bring on week 3.

Trees cycle
Trees is back on the fitness trail again. All you can smell in our house is running gear.
Went for a light cycle around the lanes for half an hour. We both rolled around in top gear to give the legs a good work out.
Cooking one of those Turkish meals again tonight. Been very good with food today so should be ok for a protein rich meal tonight.
Big Dan is out in Philadelphia working. Lets hope the hospitality is great so I can catch up with weight loss. He was in the gym 05.30 yesterday. Bless him.
