Jelly impression
Not blogged for what feels like ages. Probably the longest since I started blogging.
Just been so busy with what is basically two jobs at the moment. In addition to that Trees has had the most horrible abscess again. It has lasted for what feels like weeks. I have felt so sorry for her and have hopefully helped and supported as much as I can.
Not only has this impacted my blogging, it has had a knock on effect to my training, personal admin and things in general. I have a pile of post and things to do. Once you get behind you just do not have the heart to catch up again. Or am I just lazy.
So what has been happening? We had a fantastic New Years Eve party. The usual house full of drunken and merry people with the last person leaving at 4am as we shut down the karaoke. Helen and Ian stayed over so we had a great New Years day as well.
I have managed probably a one hour cycle and a one hour run in the last 2 weeks but managed to lose a little weight by eating much better since Christmas. I touched 210 pounds again!
Mum and Lauren are here this weekend. Mum is slowly getting better after her operation but has needed her wheelchair around Wrexham centre today. Apparently the operation was more complicated than expected so the recover time could be up to 6 months. Longer than was expected.
Got a mad 4 weeks ahead. Lauren and my mum this weekend. Out with the Gills next weekend. We have a couple of fairs the following and then we have Kelsey's birthday weekend down south.
You will find me lay on my bed doing an impression of a jelly in 5 weeks time!
2 Jobs Tony
Still doing my two jobs at the moment. Have decided I cannot continue in this mode any longer so I have had to give notice on one of them. Not something I feel good about as I am letting people down but best in the long run for all of us.
Not done any exercise for over a week now. Not good.
Mum, Paul, Lauren and Kristie came around over the weekend. Paul and Kristie have got engaged. Wahoo! The big day will be some time in 2008 over in Philadelphia USA. Start saving for the trip folks!
Paul and Neil have permanently parted company on the upholstery business. Very badly handled and quite unfair bit probably best for Paul in the long run. Paul was over to see me last night to look at options moving forward.
Mum still needs a wheelchair to get around if going longer distances. Should get better over the coming six months with physiotherapy.
Work and toothache
Nothing to report other than I have one job now and Trees has a socket and jaw bone infection.
Trees has now had some form of horrible pain for over 7 weeks. You have to feel sorry for her. Trees has seen a consultant at the hospital. Her infection is being grown in a laboratory to see what antibiotics will work.
My job with O2 has now generally come to an end so I only have the one job. However, it now takes up sooooo much of time. Not done any running other than a 5k on Saturday morning with Stephen.
Morning run
Just managed to get out for a morning run with Stephen over the sandstone trail. Only 30 minutes or so but it feels good to be out and about.
Day with Lauren
Popped over to spend the afternoon with Lauren yesterday.
Went to the Hard Rock Cafe in Manchester. Had a lovely time with Lauren but the food was rubbish. Never been to one of those internationally known theme restaurants and had good food.
Made up for it with a visit to cafe Nero off Deansgate. Lauren was on great form even with a reported broken Toe. Fell down the stairs with a laptop in her hands at Bobs.
Had a lot of trouble with the car alarm on the Mondeo last night. Had the AA out but it had fixed itself. Started off again in the middle of the night. Carl rang me from across the road to let me know in the middle of the night. Had to disconnect ther battery in the end. Could not work out the fuses for the life of me. Looks like I am going to have to connect and disconnect the battery for the next few weeks until the next service is done. Bugger!
Cycle for 50 minutes
Managed two days of exercise for this first time in months. Run yesterday and a cycle today.
The wind did not appear very strong until I got out around the country lanes and it appeared to be my face all the way round. Legs were quite numb at some points as I tried to get round it top gear all the way.
Do not feel to bad after it.
