Tuesday diary

Had to take a day off work to be with Trees. Visits to doctor, chemist and hospital for all the usual tests. Cannot provide all the details until I have seen Lauren tomorrow.

Woke up at 3am and was out of bed 4am. Just could not sleep. Must be the excitement.

Invited Tim from Banking Liaison Group over whilst we had the opportunity. Tim is organising my claim against the bank regarding the way in which they handled my affairs during September 2004. Went through all the correspondence. He is moving house then travelling for a month. All will have to wait until he returns. I will write to the bank and the Ombudsman to update them. Tim is as optimistic as he was last year. Still no guarantees we will win. Good news is that thinks they cannot take the house of us if the worst case scenario happens.

Popped over to Oswestry later in the day whilst Trees had her hair done. Spent a leisurely 2 hours strolling around the town. Popped in to cafe Aroma. We did their interior for them. They are still pleased and it looks like a big success. David and David are nice people and great to do business with. They are looking to open another cafe in the new year.

I was planning to go for a cycle but it was very dark and Trees was very hungry when we got home. Did a microwave curry which Trees could not eat due to instant heart burn. Trees ended up cooking a omelette or us both. I also had pasta which was tasteless. Not a good night for food.

Phil Preston had rang from McQuays. Passed the information on to Paul to follow up. Kwai and Alison rang trees. They have been through a similar experience to us so that chin wagged for a while.

Trees called it a day at 9pm. Went to bed. I was up at 4am so I guess I will follow shortly.

Wednesday Diary

Fantastic day.

Trees and I went over to see Lauren to break the news that she is going to be a sister. Trees had wrote a card with the scan picture attached and brought the pregnancy test. Lauren was thrilled. It is not often Lauren is caught off guard, it was very emototional moment. Spent the next three hours looking for maternity clothes and baby goods along with lots of discussion of Twins, names, bedrooms, birth plans and the like.

Great evening. Lots of love and happiness

Hopefully I have ensured that Lauren knows that we love her to bits and that she will always be my angel.

Trees is pregant

Trees is pregnant. We are both partly in shock but absolutely over the moon.

We have been quietly going through IVF for the last 8 weeks. We have kept this to ourselves as much as possible so that we only had our own expectations to meet.

Anyway, we had been fearing the worst, so when we got up at 6 monday morning and Trees disappeared in to the bathroom with the pot and her Quickview stick; we were expecting a negative result. Can you believe it; it was positive.

Been on cloud nine since.

We know that there are still no gurantees and that we (oops, Trees) is only 5 weeks pregnant but we want to enjoy every minute no matter what the future holds.

Oh, and it may be twins. Yikes. We have a scan on the 14th November to find out!

Here is Daisy Louise and Sammy James. I think they look like me already.

Message from Jenny and Steve

That's fantastic ... you made me cry I'm so happy for you. I do hope it's twins but I'm sure you'll be happy with just one.

I can't see the keys for tears !!!!! excuse the typing.

I will be keeping everything firmly crossed for you and will be here for you whatever. I feel really privileged to share your news and it really couldn't happen to a more deserving couple.

On the home front it's all change for us. Steve has moved to Tsys in York and spends a lot of time away from home- 3/4 days per week at the mo. I've been looking at changing my job too. I'd started looking up north so we could relocate but am hoping to get the role as the Project Office Manager for Visa so I'm staying down here a little longer. It's the best plan really as it will give Steve time to decide if it's the right move for him before we up sticks and move.

It may be that when he gets settled he can work from home and London more. Who knows but it's quite exciting. If we go to York we'll only be 122 miles away instead of 226.

We had a major scare this summer on holiday in the US - Steve went down with double pneumonia, ended up in hospital for 12 days, on life support for 5 !  I nearly lost him. He's fully recovered now and put it all behind him - but I'm still a bit traumatised ! We were away for a month in the end and the final hospital bill is excess of £27,000, thank heavens for insurance.

I think that's the major highlights. The family's ok, the dogs are good and Southend pier's burnt down again.

Keep yourself safe and healthy and we will get to see you soon - especially as we'll need to be up north more now.

Good luck - give Tony a big kiss from me and let me know how it's going.

New Camera

Decided that lots of pictures would be required of mum to be and then the baby or the twins.

Splashed out on a Sony Cibershot from John Lewis last night whilst we were all riding the happy wave.

Hope to bore you all with lots of pictures soon.
