Saturday Diary

Strange getting up and ready to go out on my own. Hope Trees has a great day with Nats at her Hen Party.

Drove over to pick up Stephen and head over to Dovestones near Saddleworth. Tina, Sam and Elly had gone to football. Stephen had given up his family morning to go for a long fell run. Hopefully it was worth it for him. It looked like he realy enjoyed it.

Ran from the car park past the sailing club then immediate right and up the steep climb to the top of the moor. Ran along the ridge to the reservoir then over the top towards Crowden. Turned back and went down the tarmac road down the opposite side of the valley. Lots of driving wind and rain, lots of peat, bogs and river running. Managed to land on all fours in the river at one point. Stephen has turned in to an excellent fell runner. After losing 5 stones it is incredible to see him go. I just cannot keep up.  I managed to keep moving / running over most of the 108 minutes, 12km and 350 metre climb. I was very pleased with this. I have not been doing much running training and I ahve only been training now for 10 weeks or so. My general fitness is getting very good for me.

It is great to run with someone who is up for it and enjoying adventure running as a new activity. Stephen cannot wait to do more.

After driving home I refuelled and settled down to relax and watch the film "50 First Dates" with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. I am not a Drew fan but I have to say I realy enjoyed it. I love romantic stories.

As the evening is getting on I am missing Trees more and more. I cannot wait to see her again tomorrow. Hurry home!

Sunday Diary

Stop and relax!

Feels a long time since I just stopped and relaxed. Trees has travelled back from Cumbria and Nat's Hen Party and has gone to bed to recover after cooking a factastic stuffed mushroom with three cheeses. Fantastic just to have her back around me.

I for my part have:

sat and watched the birds in the garden and nodded off.

Watched two football matches. Who cares which ones.

Blogged for a few hours.

Analysed my training data and looked at yestrday's route on Google Earth. Sado!

What great way to live. Just chill!

Finished off the evening with a snuggle watching some top programmes.

MMmmm...

Health

I have had the classic feeling of an upset stomach, numbness and a little off colour / dizzy today. May be the humus I ate yesterday that had not been kept in the fridge.

Monday work diary

Managed to oversleep a little. Bit of a panic as I am on a course today. Drove a little faster than I would like but made it in time.

Course I AMDocs. A little disjointed as there are server problems. Got there in the end. Gave me time to step out and authorise the "calling plan" look up table change bill samples and chase the i-mode samples.

Work in the afternoon got a little crazy. The i-*** changes did not present themselves on the bill so we were running round in circles while. Resoleved just in time to get all bills despatched. My diary thsi week is just impossible. Two days on a course and two days in Leeds. Going to be mad!

Monday Evening

Off to Wrexham Total Fitness

45 minutes on the stair climber on level 6 then stomach exercises with Trees. Trees managed a 6k run with an incline.

Then off home to eat ourselves silly. Maybe not.

Both Trees and I did not sleep well last night. Hard exercise appears to set our metabolism going rather than tiring us out to the point we sleep. Aching leg syndrome!

Back to the Amdocs course at work with regular breaks to do mail and the like. Bit of break from the day to day work but not very exciting.

Off to the gym tonight. 45 minutes spin session. Heart rate just got over 162 bpm. Must try harder.

Best time of the day. Snuggle with Trees.
