My first day as a Blogger

Here we go. My first day as a Blogger.fficeffice" />

Why am I doing this?

I guess I want to be able to share my thoughts, activities and photographs with my friends and family. I guess I also want to keep a diary of my life. I am getting older and my memory is fading. I want to look back and remember.

I am intending to get up and running then spread the word.

So here goes

Lets do some catching up

Thought it best to bring the web log up to date:fficeffice" />

I met an Angel at the end of 2003. Teresa Louise Seaman (Trees) is my friend, partner, lover and spiritual guide. I cannot over emphasise how wonderful my Angel is and how much Trees has helped me turn my life in to something deeply more meaningful and happy.

Lauren Toni Greenhalgh, the other woman in my life and my daughter, is now 11 and turning in to a young lady. I smile when I think of her. Lauren is always in my heart if not always by my side. Lauren started high school last week. The school is 5 minutes walk from her home where she lives with her mum.

Trees and I (sometimes known as TnT) have found our home in Cross Lanes, Wrexham. We were gazumped a number of times; and as with a number of events in our life; it turned out for the best. Our home is our small piece of paradise.

Where did the years go? I am now 43. After a varied career I am now contracting as an IT Service Manager. I also attempt to help my brothers Neil and Paul with the upholstery business.

Got go now. Will see you soon x

I am so proud of both of them. Could not stop smiling as Danny and I ran to each crossing point to cheer them on. The sprint to the finish was an added bonus after they both mananged to complete the course.

Roger, Danny, James and the three of us managed a picnic in the park afterwards. Highlight of the picnic was James and I playing in the park.

Weekend diary

Friday day – a normal day at O2 Preston Brook. Nothing exciting to report.

Friday night – ran around the park with Trees and Debbie. Cut short by a chesty cough. Shame really; Trees was enjoying the run and having a great time.

Popped over to Pats for a traditional mum meal. Fantastic. Had the full tour of the recently painted house. Top to bottom.

Saturday day – Dropped Pat (Trees Mum) off at ffice:smarttags" />Chester station. Pat is off the see Carole, John and the family “darn sowf”. Must be getting old; had to go and buy my first pair of reading glasses. Thought I would be border line in need of them. No way; I needed a 2.0 prescription. Trees says I look cute in them. How much does she love me!

Decided it was time to fit the loft ladder in the garage. Why do all DIY jobs turn out to be ten times bigger than you thought? The reading classes came in handy.

Saturday night – we went over The Comedy Store in Manchester with Roger and Debbie. Good night even though the comedians were not as good as usual.

Drove over for a Curry in Rusholme. Went to the Red Fort (Lal Quila?). Food was good but was spoilt by the fact that there were no Non Smoking areas.

Feels as though I am being a little negative about the night. Although things did not go as planned it was still a very goodnight. It has been a long time since we spent some quality time with Roger and Debbie as a couple. It was so good to be with them. Trees looked drop dead scrummy. See for yourself.

Sunday – Managed to sleep in until 10.00 as we did not get to bed until after the early hours. I have gone DIY mad. Finished the loft ladder (well kind of; it works!), fitted the crazy garden lights Trees bought last year; fixed the cat flap and painted the kitchen door. Phew!

Monday diary

Sport - Managed to drag myself out of bed at 05.45 to swim before work at Total Fitness Warrington. 20 lengths in 12.15. managed 11.56 last week. Getting slower. Does not bode well for the Triathlon relay this Sunday.

Sport - went for an evening run with Debbie and Trees at Erddig. They both managed over 30 minutes on off road paths and trails. I believe that was the first 30 minute run for Debbie. Well done chuck. Managed to get locked in. Only panicked until we found the main gate open.

Work - another day. Some nice people around me. Stuart Berry, Chris Halfpenny and Phil Ditchfield. This is my first role where I sit at a desk all day. All meetings are a conference call. Got a nice headset though!

Evening - not a great deal of time left after the run and dropping the car off for a service. Managed to relax doing our favourite snuggle on the sofa.

Tuesday diary

The excitement of the Triathlon relay is growing for this weekend. Spoke to Stephen Costello last night and exchanged emails today. Latest suggestion is that I have a full body shave to streamline me through the water. I have asked for volunteers to do the shaving. Stephen has got a Forerunner GPS come map, come personal trainer, come I am really jealous. Might be investing in one for both Trees and myself.

Trees cancelled her first appointment with her Personal Trainer. We forgot the car was in for service and we do not want to risk using petrol as there is panic buying ahead of a proposed petrol blockade. It appears prices have rocketed and people are upset. One day I might need to start considering money as important enough to protest; maybe not!

In the news - New Orleans was devastated by a hurricane last week. It is reported that thousands of people have died and hundred of thousands are homeless. It did not make the news on Radio 4 this morning. We all move on so quickly. Not sure this is a good or bad thing? England won the cricket Ashes for the first time since the early 70s. I think that was the last time I watched cricket.

Lauren - has been on an outdoor adventure weekend. I guess I will get an update Wednesday when I go a see her.

Sport - went for a swim at the gym then a hydrotherapy relax with Trees. 20 lengths at full speed. Last big swim before the Triathlon Sunday. 211lbs in the gym. Remember being at least 223 pounds at some point.
