Another good day for training yesterday.

1 hour cycle in the gym this morning doing 1 minute hill efforts. Followed this up with a run at lunch time for 65 minutes in the rain. Feeling the benefit of being lighter and some consistent running training. Heel was very sore all the way round. Not recovered from the Saturday Disco. No residual pain once I stop running, which is strange. Am I just stretching scar tissue or am I doing some harm. Ah well, you only live once.

Weight was disgusting 14st 6.5lbs this morning. No way I have put 3 lbs on in a week. Must be fully hydrated as I did not run Sunday. Grrr…

Trees has managed to smack her toe against the door so has a very nice bruise. Having hobbled home from Wrexham today we have cancelled the swim tonight. So no exercise for me today.

Training

Enjoying the training. Back to Mountain Marathon focus.

Managed a couple of lunch time runs with Stephen and Mark. A couple of good weights and stretching sessions in the gym and a 2 gym cycles.

Bit the bullet and did some lower legs exercises. Bit risky with the old dodgy heel. Appear to have got away with it. Had to try at some time if I am to leap down those fells with grace, rtaher than the Hippo Hop. I have quite a number of strength and flexibility exercises from Ann the trainer. Let's see how we go.

Dan back soon, hope to get some sessions in with him before he pops back to Oz.

Weight is around the 14st 4lbs. A few pounds heavier than I aimed for but I am doing weights at the moment. Every day I count  the calories and I always eat less than I use in a week. So the weight will drop eventually.

Trees has a new stronger medicine for her asmtha. Hope to get her training next week. Trees is doing great with her weight loss. Looking slim and sexy.

Another run... how stupid

Could not resist another run at lunch today. The Cheshire Plains were calling my name.

I know I should have rested but I am feeling so good about my running. Promise to only cross train for a few days.

Honest....

Training without Dan

So Dan and the family have headed off to Australia. I am sure it is great for them to finaly be there. I am sure they have a lot ahead of them. Moving countries cannot be easy.

So, how am I managing without him? Not too bad thanks. Managed a 90 minute run with Stephen at lunch along with 2 weight sessions. Dragged myself out of bed 3 mornings to cycle twice and swim. Also managed a swim with Stephen and Sam in the evening.

Finishd this off with a 3 hour run today. Slightly longer than planned, I decided to put one last major descent and climb in the mixing pot along the Sandstone trail. A good week, although very, very tired tonight.

Andy could not join me as planned. He fell of a style with the boys on Friday evening. Not good. Possibly not a broken rib but close to it. He is thinking about a Josh Naylor challenge. Will bring some focus to training as it will be 16 hours.

Phil Winskill rang out of the blue. He and Helen are teachers. Chnaged their careers and moved to the Lake District. He can help with Andy and his challenge if he goes ahead.

Got my eyes firmly focused on the LAMM next summer. We have some unfinished business there.

Weight goes up and down a lot over the weeks. Lowest at 14st 1lb and highest 14st 6lbs. Who knows what is going on there. Every week I eat less calories than I need. Maybe the weights and dehydration are agitating my weight. Ah well, just keep trying.

Pats Birthday

Had fantastic weekend down south last week. Picked mum and Lauren and followed Trees down for Pats surprise 70th birthday.

Pat thought it was a charity ball for Allan. What a surprise for her. Friends and family came along to celebrate a wonderful person. Met people who have known Pat all her life.

Followed this up with present and card opening on Sunday.

A great weekend!

Princess weekend

Princess Lauren and Sophie have been over for the weekend. Tempted them out on Saturday with promises of money and shopping but they have now dissappeared in to their princess castle for the day.
