Paul and Kristie are getting married

Ok, they have set the date. Wedding is set for Friday 26th September at 2pm.

Going to be just close family as funds and focus are needed for trips to Philadelphia and the like.

Wish them mountains of best wishes and love for the future. The start of beautiful things in their life.

We are back in the UK

So, we are back in the UK. The flight was ok I guess. 8 hours or so. We arrived back Sunday morning.

Dan kindly dropped our car at the airport for us. He leaves soon. Another person I am going to miss so much.

Carol and the family all drove up from Essex to be with us. So good of them. We all went for a meal later in the night. I was just too knackered to function. Not slept for ages apart from a few hours Saturday afternoon. Hopefully everyone understood. I am like an irritated Bear when I do not sleep enough.

Felt much better this moning, Sunday. Popped over to Pats to say goodbye to them all and get some shopping in. Allan is staying with Pat for a few days.

Managed to get a lot done. All work email caught up to date. Unpacked everything. Weblog updated with the adventures of the last 2 weeks. Watched United scrape by 1-0 against Portsmouth. Contacted Lauren to make sure she is still alive. Briefly spoke to mum. Popped to DIY shop to review cost of DIY plans.

Problem I have now is that my body clock has me wide awake. It is 17.00 in Chilliwack at the mo.

Canada - the "to do" list

Some things I have promised myself since and during my travels:

  • Meet with Pam and Andy and arrange runs
  • Get Piccies from Andy, martin, Danielle and Tracey

Canada - Last Day - travelling home - Saturday 23rd August

Oh no, the last day.

Goodbye to Grant and over to the Drug Store to say goodbye to Carmi. Could not hold back the tears.

Enjoyed being with Grant sooo much. A great man. Carmi could not have tried any more to make us happy. Going to miss them.

Last visit to Tim Hortons then on the road to the airport. Managed to get an upgrade so had comfortable seats if not side by side.

What wonderfull country with beatiful scenery and fantastic people. I have fallen in love with it all over again. I always do.

I love my home, friends and family but find it so hard to leave Canada behind.

I have had the most wondefull time with Trees. Wish we could much more of this.

Got plans to organise. Need to Skidoo with John in Aurora, New York with Grant and Carmi, more time in Chilliwack, bring Tracey, Grant and Michelle to UK....

..... to the future....

Canada - Guilford, Surrey shopping with Danielle - Fri 22nd August

Last day before we leave. Had to be a shopping day with Danielle.

Straight to Tim Hortons for a sugar and caffiene fix.

Danielle was such good fun to be with. Only 12, can you believe it. Wants Lauren to come with us next time.

Finished the evening off with a family Chinese Meal then back to Beryls fro an hour.

A lot of the family arrived after us so are staying on for another week. So sad to say goodbye to them all. Been such a great time. Trees cried, I held it back, just.

Wish we could stay longer!

Canada - Quad Biking - Thursday 21st August

Yeeee Haaaa. Quad biking day.

Headed to the Mountains with John, Grant and Martin. Loaded the Quads on a trailor and off we went.

Grant has 2 Quad Bikes so I doubled up with John. What a hoot. Also tried a little off roading on my own. Went way too fast but what a buzz.

Everyone should try this once in their lifetime. Fantastic.

Popped in for a refreshing glass of beer on the way home.

Trees had a quieter day at the beach with the family.
